Welcome to Christianoupolis or Christianou (common name), a picturesque village in the southwestern tip of Messinia. Built at an altitude of 392 meters, it is surrounded by the natural beauty of Mount Aigaleo and by the flowing waters that cross its center

With a population of 300 permanent residents, who are employed in various agricultural activities in the olive groves and vineyards of the area, Christianoupolis highlights the tradition and authenticity of the Greek countryside

The Holy Church of the Transfiguration of the Saviour, an imposing Byzantine monument of the 11th century, looms in the center of our village and is considered as the "jewel" of the village and the "pride of Moria", as it is structurally compared to the Temple of Agia - Sophia of Constantinople ("Agia Sotira in Morea and Agia Sophia in the City")
